Ukrainian Drone Attacks Mark Largest Assault on Moscow Amid Ongoing Conflict
Moscow experienced a significant drone attack from Ukraine, injuring 17 and resulting in further military actions, as President Zelensky claims responsibility for the strikes.
Moscow has recently faced its largest drone assault from Ukraine since the escalation of the war, with nearly 200 drones targeting areas around the Russian capital. The attack produced thick columns of smoke that rose into the sky, indicating the scale of the conflict.
According to local governor Andrei Vorobyov, the drone attacks resulted in injuries to seventeen individuals in the Moscow region. In a broader context, Russia's defense ministry reported that almost 1,000 drones along with four Ukrainian cruise missiles were intercepted and destroyed across the nation within a 24-hour period.
The drone strikes also affected an oil depot in the southern Rostov region, leading to the death of one person. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky remarked that Kyiv had once again delivered 'long-range sanctions' to the Moscow region, which is a term he uses to refer to Ukraine's long-distance military operations targeting Russian territories.
