Epstein's Former Secretary Reveals Regular Calls Between Trump and Epstein

Lesley Groff, who worked for Jeffrey Epstein, testified to lawmakers that she facilitated phone calls between Epstein and Donald Trump for over a decade, describing their relationship as 'friendly.'

Lesley Groff, who served as the executive secretary to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, testified before lawmakers that she arranged phone calls between Epstein and then-President Donald Trump several times a year for at least ten years. This information was disclosed in a transcript released on Tuesday by the House Oversight Committee.

Groff, who began her employment with Epstein in 2001, stated that she did not recall organizing any in-person meetings between the two men but suggested it was a possibility. She characterized their relationship as 'friendly,' saying, 'I suppose they were friendly. I don’t know if they had any business going on. That wasn’t something that I asked. That’s not something I discussed with Mr. Epstein or Mr. Trump, so I don’t really know. It’s possible that they were friendly.'

When questioned about reports that Epstein had a photograph of himself with Trump displayed on his desk, Groff mentioned that she did not remember seeing such an image.

In her initial remarks, Groff detailed her role in scheduling Epstein’s daily massages, which involved numerous women, including those in New York and the United Kingdom. Survivors of Epstein's abuse, many of whom were underage, have reported being coerced into giving massages to him as a pretext for sexual exploitation.

Groff's statements seem to contradict comments made by Vice President JD Vance on the talk show The View last week. Vance repeatedly rebuffed claims regarding Trump’s long-standing friendship with Epstein, incorrectly asserting that their relationship ended in the 1980s after Trump expelled Epstein from his Mar-a-Lago club and reported him to law enforcement. However, evidence indicates that their relationship continued into the early 2000s.

Vance stated, 'Jeffrey Epstein hated Donald Trump. Donald Trump literally reported Jeffrey Epstein to the police.'

Several Democrats on the House Oversight Committee expressed skepticism regarding Groff's testimony, finding her account of Epstein to be unreliable. Representative Stephen Lynch (D-Mass.) commented to reporters that he found it hard to believe Groff’s assertions that she never witnessed Epstein engaging in inappropriate behavior with minors or that she did not schedule him for massages with underage girls.

'It is highly inconsistent what she is maintaining, that she really didn’t know Jeffrey Epstein even though she worked for him for 18 years,' Lynch stated. 'I just question whether she can rightfully and truthfully maintain that she saw nothing improper.'
