SpaceX’s IPO Reaches Historic $85.7 Billion After Underwriters Max Out Share Purchases
SpaceX's IPO has reached a record $85.7 billion as underwriters exercised their option to purchase additional shares, marking a significant milestone for the company.
SpaceX's initial public offering (IPO) has achieved a remarkable milestone, with the total amount raised now standing at $85.7 billion. This increase follows the decision by the IPO's underwriters to exercise their option to purchase the maximum number of shares available.

The company, founded by Elon Musk, had originally raised $75 billion, which itself was already a record, making it the largest IPO in history.
SpaceX has outlined several plans for utilizing the funds generated from this IPO. Among these, the company intends to pay down approximately $20 billion in debt associated with legacy loans linked to X, the social media platform previously known as Twitter, and Musk's AI venture, xAI. Both of these entities were integrated into SpaceX prior to the IPO.
In addition to debt repayment, SpaceX plans to allocate funds towards expanding its AI computing infrastructure, enhancing its launch facilities, and improving the Starlink satellite internet service.
Following the IPO, SpaceX's stock commenced trading on the Nasdaq exchange last Friday. By the end of that trading day, the company had achieved a valuation exceeding $2 trillion, which led to Elon Musk being recognized as the world's first trillionaire. The stock price continued to rise on Monday, positioning SpaceX's valuation above that of the semiconductor manufacturer TSMC.
