By Taylor Brooks 1 month ago

Meagan Good shares her reflections on her career and relationship with Jonathan Majors, expressing hope for his future and discussing the challenges they have faced together.

Meagan Good is currently experiencing a fulfilling chapter in her life, celebrating a career that spans three decades. The actress, known for her role in the series Harlem, emphasizes gratitude as a central theme in her life.

In a recent interview, Good expressed, "As chaotic as the past few years have been, this is the happiest I’ve felt in a long time," indicating a sense of emotional fulfillment.

Good reflected on her personal and professional journey, which encompasses her relationship with fellow actor Jonathan Majors, her work on Harlem, and the effects of the recent Los Angeles wildfires. She stated, "I’m just grateful for the journey and grateful to be loved."

Her relationship with Majors, who has faced significant public scrutiny, has been a focal point of discussion. Good is currently starring in Tyler Perry’s Divorce in the Black and will also appear in the third and final season of Harlem, which premieres on Thursday on Prime Video.

Discussing the anticipation surrounding Harlem, Good remarked, "It’s incredible that our fans have supported us so loyally, waiting for this show like it’s Game of Thrones." In the series, she portrays Camille, a professor at Columbia University dealing with love and relationships.

The romance between Good and Majors began in late 2023, coinciding with Majors’ arrest due to allegations of abuse made by his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. Majors was subsequently convicted of a misdemeanor assault charge and has since completed a settlement, yet the controversy almost derailed his career.

Throughout these challenges, Good has remained a supportive partner, attending court hearings and becoming engaged to Majors in November. Reflecting on the public backlash they have faced, Good attributes her resilience to her Christian faith and past experiences.

"In my 20s, I’d see hurtful things online, and it would devastate me," she shared. "But over time—through false allegations, criticism from fellow Christians, and even the end of my marriage—I learned resilience."

Good has expressed that while it is painful to see her loved ones subjected to public scrutiny, she is unfazed by claims suggesting her relationship with Majors is merely a publicity stunt. "I just don’t care anymore," she laughed.

Looking ahead, Good remains optimistic about Majors’ potential career revival and is focused on their future plans, which include launching a health and wellness brand. She also aspires to star in an action film and start a family.

For her fans, Good's ability to navigate challenges while maintaining her career is inspiring. One close colleague remarked, "This is her phoenix moment. She’s breaking free from what people expected of her."

Despite the ups and downs, Good emphasizes that her priority is not accolades, but rather making a positive impact through her work. "Any appreciation is a gift," she noted, adding, "I truly feel like my best is yet to come. In many ways, I’m just getting started."
