Kyle Cooke Clarifies His Future on 'Summer House' Following Cryptic Instagram Post

Kyle Cooke addressed speculation about his departure from 'Summer House' after a poignant Instagram post, emphasizing that the show is not canceled and he has not announced his exit.

Kyle Cooke has provided clarity regarding his status on the reality series Summer House after sparking speculation with a vague Instagram post. On June 18, Kyle, 43, shared an edited message on Instagram, expressing his feelings about the end of filming for the show's tenth season. He stated, "End of Season 10 and a decade of filming this show as I know it. The show isn’t cancelled and this is not me announcing I won’t return. I was feeling emotional and always planned on sharing the cover photo because it DID feel like the end of an era, which is why everyone else was so emotional saying their goodbyes on the finale. Sorry everyone!"

His initial Instagram post, which commemorated the conclusion of Season 10, led many fans to interpret it as a hint of his potential departure from the show. In that post, he wrote, "End of an era," and described the difficulty he had in smiling for a photo with producers, noting, "Per usual I was the last to leave the house when we wrapped because I lug so much gear out. But this year was different. 10 seasons in the books. A new show [In the City] on the way. And a heartbreaking way to end one helluva run."

Kyle, who is regarded as one of the original cast members, continued by expressing his emotional attachment to the show, stating, "I’m tearing up as I type this because we truly become a family shooting this show and it was a gut-wrenching way to leave this house for good. I can’t thank these 4 enough (and the rest of the crew) for giving up their summer to make it all happen."

He added, "I think we can finally close this chapter (but don’t blame me if I post some throwbacks that are a lot happier than me driving home all by myself as we filmed the crossover). Finally, thank you to the fans for believing in this show and for all of your support over the last decade."

While Kyle's post generated confusion among fans, it is noteworthy that the iconic mansion featured in Summer House was listed for sale at $5 million in March. The real estate listing highlighted the property’s appeal, showcasing its "elegant millwork, gorgeous hardwood floors and an effortless indoor-outdoor flow built for summer entertaining."

Speculation surrounding Kyle's future on the Bravo series intensified following reports that his co-star West Wilson would be leaving Summer House after Season 10, amid controversy regarding his relationship with Kyle's estranged wife, Amanda Batula. An exclusive source informed Us earlier this month, "It was a mutual decision between the network and West. [It was] already feeling like his time on the show was coming to an end [before the controversial season 10 reunion]."

Kyle and Amanda, 34, announced their separation after four years of marriage in January. Two months later, Amanda confirmed her relationship with West, 31, despite earlier denials from the Summer House co-stars about their involvement.

During a dramatic three-part Season 10 reunion, Kyle, West, and Ciara Miller had the opportunity to confront Amanda about the timeline of her romance with West, which unfolded in the special Aftermath episode that aired on June 16.

The tension surrounding Kyle and Amanda's separation is currently being explored in the spinoff show In the City. Despite their split, the two were seen together at the premiere of In the City’s first season in New York City in May, appearing friendly. However, Kyle clarified their relationship dynamics on Instagram on May 19, stating, "You guys, yes, Amanda and I took a picture together. I was just happy that she showed up. She almost didn’t come to a show that she participated in. Shoot me. Shoot me. But don’t call my life, my relationship, my marriage, and my implosion of a marriage, fake."

He further added, "With all due respect, we’re all adults here and we all showed up to a premiere party. And, yes, Amanda did not want to come, and I convinced her to come and we took a photo together. Grow the f*** up."
