Julia Roberts Spotted in NYC with Family as Son Henry Celebrates 19th Birthday
Julia Roberts enjoyed a family outing in New York City with her children, showcasing her son Henry, who has recently turned 19 and is now taller than her.
Julia Roberts was seen in New York City on Friday, accompanied by two of her three children. During this outing, her 19-year-old son, Henry, appeared to have physically outgrown her, standing significantly taller as they walked together.
The Oscar-winning actress, aged 58, was photographed outside the historic Jane Hotel alongside Henry, who had just celebrated his 19th birthday the day prior. Roberts wore a stylish black suit paired with a string of pearls and glasses while engaging in conversation with her family.
During the outing, Roberts was also joined by her 21-year-old daughter, Hazel, and her hairstylist, Serge Normant. At one point, the actress affectionately wrapped her arm around Henry's waist as they strolled together.
Henry is currently a student at Pratt Institute in Manhattan, while Hazel is pursuing her studies at Trinity College Dublin. Notably absent from the family gathering was Hazel's twin brother, Phinnaeus, who is attending the University of California, Berkeley, as well as Roberts' husband, cinematographer Danny Moder.
Henry is the youngest child of Roberts and Moder, who have been married since 2002. In November, Roberts shared a nostalgic throwback photo on Instagram to commemorate the twins' 21st birthday, reflecting on their growth with the caption, 'These game changers, life alterers, [heart] expanders once were 1 and now are 21! That was fast.'
On Mother’s Day 2025, Moder posted a heartfelt tribute on Instagram featuring their grown children surrounding Roberts, captioning it, 'Mothers make the coolest stuff. Love these guys.'
In a 2022 interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Roberts expressed that despite her successful career, her true fulfillment comes from her family. She stated, 'The life that I have built with my husband, [and] the life that we’ve built with our children, that’s the best stuff. To come home at the end of the day, triumphantly, to them.'
