Country artist Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord, has filed for divorce from his wife Bunnie Xo, born Alisa Andrea Carter. The filing took place on May 18, 2023, in Williamson County, Tennessee, marking the end of their nearly ten-year marriage, as confirmed by Page Six.
According to a source who spoke to TMZ, which first reported the news, the decision to divorce was mutual, and the couple is managing the situation as a private family matter. Representatives for the couple did not respond to Page Six’s request for comments regarding the divorce.
Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo got married in August 2016, a year after they met at one of Jelly Roll's concerts in Las Vegas. They had a secret courthouse wedding in Vegas the same night Jelly proposed to Bunnie. Together, they co-parent Jelly Roll's two children from previous relationships: daughter Bailee Ann, who is 18, and son Noah Buddy, who is 9.
The couple experienced a brief separation just two years after their marriage. Bunnie addressed this period in a TikTok post from February 2023, reflecting on their breakup in 2018 and how Jelly Roll came to retrieve her. In 2023, the couple celebrated their relationship with a vow renewal ceremony. Jelly Roll has been candid about his struggles, including weight issues and addiction, revealing in an October 2025 interview that he had cheated on Bunnie early in their marriage, calling it 'one of the worst moments' of his adulthood.
