Jane Seymour and musician John Zambetti announced their engagement during the Songwriters Hall of Fame induction ceremony on June 11, after three years of dating.
Jane Seymour revealed her engagement to musician John Zambetti during the Songwriters Hall of Fame induction ceremony on June 11. The actress, known for her role in Live and Let Die, expressed her happiness by stating, 'Someone decided they wanted to be with me for the rest of their lives,' referring to Zambetti as 'my singer-songwriter.'
The couple has been together for three years, having first met at a concert for their mutual friend, rapper Shwayze. Initially, Seymour, who has experienced four marriages and divorces, was not looking for love. She had told friends that she was finished with relationships, saying, 'I was very, very single.' In a 2024 interview with Tamron Hall, she shared, 'And a girlfriend said, 'You must come out with me,' and I went, 'Look I'm 73, I don't think I'm going out or doing anything. I'm done with guys, it’s not happening.' '

However, after their first encounter, Seymour and Zambetti discovered that their sons already had a connection. During their first date following the Shwayze show, they learned that Zambetti's son, Johnny Zambetti, and Seymour's son, Sean Flynn, were friends. Seymour recounted, 'We ended up having a very, very long chat the next day with a cup of tea, which ended up having dinner. And then we realized that his son, Johnny, Shwayze, and my son Sean, they were all friends and he used to hang out at my house.'

The shared familial ties helped ease the blending of their families. Seymour has six children, including Sean, Katherine Flynn (44), and stepdaughter Jenni Flynn Adams (46) from her marriage to David Flynn, as well as stepson Kalen Keach (56) and twins John Stacy Keach and Kristopher Steven Keach (30) from her marriage to James Keach. Zambetti also has two children, Johnny and Kathryn (40), with his late wife, Joan Zambetti.

Seymour provided insight into their family life, stating, 'There’s nothing but music in my house. He’s a singer-songwriter. His son is a singer-songwriter. My son [Johnny] is a singer-songwriter.'

In addition to Seymour and Zambetti's engagement news, several recent celebrity engagements were highlighted, showcasing other couples who have recently announced their plans to marry.
