Bunnie Xo Clarifies Relationship Status Amid Rumors of Dating Chad Kroeger
Bunnie Xo denied rumors of dating Nickelback's Chad Kroeger following her split from Jelly Roll, asserting that no infidelity occurred during their marriage.
Bunnie Xo recently addressed rumors regarding her alleged relationship with Chad Kroeger, the lead singer of Nickelback, which surfaced after her split from Jelly Roll, a country musician. On June 18, during an episode of her podcast "Dumb Blonde," Bunnie, 46, clarified that these speculations were unfounded and stemmed from a misunderstanding related to her social media activity.
Bunnie explained that she had not been active on her social media accounts for a while as she was focusing on her healing process. She noted that she had shared a throwback video featuring Kroeger, which coincided with the timing of the news about her separation from Jelly Roll, 41. "The news drops, I have f**king Nickelback on my page," she remarked, emphasizing that the overlap was purely coincidental and not indicative of a new romance.
In her remarks, Bunnie humorously referred to Kroeger as "Daddy Chaddy," clarifying that it was meant as a joke. She firmly stated, "I am not with Daddy Chaddy. There’s no f**king way in hell that that would even be a thing. And no, I did not cheat on my husband and leave him for Chad, and like, none of that. Like, please," underscoring her commitment to truth amid swirling rumors.
Bunnie expressed her frustration with how quickly misinformation can spread online, stating, "This is so wrong. I am not dating Chad Kroger. I am so sorry to Chad and Nickelback for this happening. It’s embarrassing." She added, "God, it’s just so f***ed up that the internet can just run with a narrative and people just f***ing run with it," before concluding, "So there is no Chad and Bunnie Xo."
Following the podcast episode's release, Jelly Roll addressed the situation during a concert in Saratoga Springs, New York. He confirmed that there was no infidelity involved in their breakup, stating, "Nobody cheated on nobody. She just did a whole podcast about it. You can go watch it. Every word of it is the truth," while criticizing the internet for spreading falsehoods.
In a separate report, Us Weekly revealed that Jelly Roll had quietly filed for divorce from Bunnie in May, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their separation. The court documents indicated that the couple was unable to live together successfully as husband and wife any longer.
The couple married in August 2016. Although Bunnie disclosed in 2024 that she underwent fertility treatments, they did not have any children together. Jelly Roll, however, has two children from previous relationships: a daughter named Bailee with ex-girlfriend Felicia Beckwith and a son named Noah Buddy, 9, with ex-wife Melisa Ann Cowell. During their marriage, Jelly Roll and Bunnie had primary custody of Bailee when she was a minor.
