Bad Bunny Makes History in Germany with DtMF Tour and $1 Billion Career Gross

By Taylor Brooks 1 month ago

Bad Bunny recently performed in Dusseldorf, Germany, marking a significant milestone as the first Latin artist to surpass $1 billion in career gross earnings at the box office.

Bad Bunny, the 32-year-old Puerto Rican artist, performed on Saturday night, June 20, at the Merkur Spiel-Arena in Dusseldorf, Germany. This concert is part of his DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS World Tour, which is currently in its European leg and nearing the conclusion of its worldwide journey that began in November 2025.

This Dusseldorf performance marks the first of a two-night engagement in the city. Following this tour stop, it was reported that Bad Bunny has achieved a historic milestone by becoming the first Latin artist to surpass $1 billion in total career grosses at the box office, according to Billboard.

According to Billboard's Boxscore, Bad Bunny's DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS World Tour has grossed $360 million and sold 2.4 million tickets across its initial 41 shows, which includes a recent 10-show run at Madrid's Riyadh Air Metripolitano from May 30 to June 15.

This achievement makes Bad Bunny's tour the highest grossing and bestselling in Boxscore history, notably without any performances in the United States. His cumulative earnings from his first batch of European shows, along with his previous tours—World’s Hottest Tour, Most Wanted Tour, and El Ultimo Tour del Mundo, as well as performances from 2017 to 2019—total approximately $1.08 billion, with 6.4 million tickets sold from 260 reported shows.

Bad Bunny is the first Latin artist to reach the billion-dollar mark and notably the first artist to achieve this without performing in English. His initial 14 out of 29 European shows have positioned the DeBÍ TiRAR Más FOToS World Tour as the highest grossing and bestselling European leg of any tour by a Latin artist.

With 15 more dates yet to be reported before the tour concludes, projections indicate that the tour could earn $450 million or more in total.

In addition to his success on tour, Bad Bunny is also voicing a character in the newly released movie Toy Story 5, which premiered in theaters over the weekend.
